Resources & Events

What’s On?

We run our own events and workshops to explore issues around young women’s needs, and to inform our work with young women across all services.

Our next event is:

Consultation Group

In line with our ethos of creating change and amplifying voices, we regularly consult with young women (under 25) to gather their views and learn from their experiences and perspectives. Our aim is to make sure their voices are heard more widely and are used to make changes to the way we and others work.

If you are interested in attending these sessions, or joining the mailing list to be kept informed about future events, drop us an email at [email protected]

You can also get in touch via our Instagram page.

Self Care Guide

Every young woman’s experience and reaction to violence is individual to her. Our self-help resource guide will help you explore your feelings and identify self care activities that work for you. There are practical exercises, tips and lots of information to help you gain a better understanding of what has happened to you and how to take back some control.

The guide was written for people who have experienced sexual violence, but it contains tips and ideas that could help anyone who has experienced any form of gendered violence.

Parents & Carers Guide

This guide is for parents and carers supporting young women around the issue of gender-based violence.

Young women often talk to us about needing their parents and carers to understand what they’re going through and how they can help. We have created this guide to give you the tools you need to best support your daughters and the young women in your care.

If you have any feedback or thoughts on this guide, we would love to hear from you! Please contact us at [email protected]

Black Lives Matter Guide

In response to the Black Lives Matter movement, a member of our Young Women’s Team created an educational guide called ”Why We Shout Black Lives Matter”

This guide is inspired by the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag/ organisation and is a collection of information from various organisations, activists, educators and change makers. This guide is for a UK audience (Yes, racism happens in the UK too) and was created to inform, educated and promote on why “Why we shout Black Lives Matter”.

Black Lives Matter: Stand Up Take Action  Report  2022

Following on from our “Why We Shout Black Lives Matter: A Guide”, the Young Women’s Team were asked to lead on the creation of the “Black Lives Matter: Stand Up Take Action” six-part webinar series in collaboration with England Football Association (FA) and the FA National Youth Council (FANYC), which was delivered between November 2020 and April 2021.

The sessions brought the guide to life, educating with statistics, developing knowledge on anti-racism and resourcing participants to create their own movements via an activism pledge. With a focus on systemic racism and how it plays out in football, the series empowered Young Leaders to continue to make meaningful change.

This report is an evaluation of the webinar series exploring the outcomes, progress and experiences of those who attended the sessions and what they want the future of Football to look like.
